They were the favourites of the race, and they did not fail. The team mates of Cado Motus World took the podium – two times – in Besançon, at the 4th stage of the French Inline Cup. They captured the victory at the team time trial chrono race, and at the marathon.

It was a sunny week-end in Besançon, for the 4th stage of the French Inline Cup. And an international level race, with skaters coming from all over Europe, and South America. Both in the women and men divisions, the favourites were World or European medallists.

The biggest stars there: Shane Dobbin (New Zealand, World champion of the marathon in 2008), his compatriot DJ Nation (Junior World champion), Bart Swings (Belgium, also Junior World champion in 2008), Tamara Llorens (Argentina, winner of the WIC team ranking), Andrea Haritchelhar (Argentina, many podium at the WIC and at the SIC), Nadine Gloor (Switzerland, medallist at the European championships), or local star Anne-Sophie Petitprez (French champion of the marathon and winner of the WIC of Dijon in 2008)...

The men’s race: podium for Cado Motus World

Two laps of race, and it was done! Shane Dobbin attacked strongly after about 6kms, whereas his three team mates were controlling the pace. The marathon World champion opened a gap, that was never closed. The team of Bont Sur America tryed to organise the cahse, with Leon Alfredo and Wayne Begg ahead. Begg did many efforts, during the ¾ of the race, and finally gave up.

With Begg out of race, the chase was close... No one was really able to go, or even to lead. And Dobbin was quitely skating to the victory. Two laps before the end, Bart Swings (Cado Motus World) hardly accelerated, and he opened another gap. He was only followed by his compatriot and team mate Ferre Spruyt. Leon Alfredo was few meters after, followed by DJ Nation. The best situation for the team of Cado Motus. The Netherlander team was skating to the podium, with no doubt!

Team time trial chrono race: Cado Motus World, clearly

The BESAC Inline Cup was also the occasion to race a team time trial chrono, the only one on the circuit. It was competed on Saturday, and clearly, the team of Cado Motus World won it! The four team mates closed the 11,2kms (4 laps of circuit) in 15’59. The second team was Generation Roller Sport (17’39), and the bronze came to LOU Roller (17’57).
