Last news about the team

After few week-ends of race, the team has already taken some good results, either on the marathon distance, or on the traditionnal races. The biggest skaters of the team were Léa (1 podium) and Julien (2 podiums), whereas Matthieu and Vincent are running better and better.

First of all, Julien won the bronze in Lille for the first stage of the FIC 2008. He was, few weeks after, in the Top 10 at the international track race of the Trois Pistes and he captured the overall of the international road race of Rouen last week-end! These top results allowed him to go for a clinic with the national team, from the 11th to the 17th of April, in Gijon (Spain). His goal is to be part of the French national team, in order to run the European and the World championships this season.

Léa did not take a podium in Lille, or in the Trois Pistes: she came slowly on top after these two races, finishing at a promissing 15th place of the finale in Gujan-Mestras. This gave her confidence for the International race of Rouen, last week-end: she took the fourth place of the point race and the second of the 500m, and finally the bronze of the overall. Now, she's looking for a qualification at the French championships on the 200m distance, and she will preparing intensivelly for this next rendez-vous!

But before, Léa, Matthieu and Vincent will take the start of the second FIC stage in Nîmes, next Sunday. It will be the occasion for them to run under warmer temperatures and even the sun! And the hope to come back with some other podiums!
