FIC stage 2, Roller In Lille-Metropole: Once again, Julien finishes in silver!

For the second time this season, Julien finished a race very, very close to the victory. This time, it was in Lille for the Roller In Lille-Métropole Marathon. After an undecided race under the sunny skies of the Northern city of France, it ended in a massive sprint and Julien was nipped by Kévin Gauclin (ALVA) on the line… But the race was good for the team, with a good comprehension between the four team mates, which augurs a good season in 2007!

The seventh marathon of Lille-Métropole started last Sunday at 14:30 under sunny skies and one a quite difficult circuit, almost plane but with many corners and a quite bad ground… From the start to the end, the major team of the FIC, including the one of Levallois, tried to escape, but it was never successful… Each time, the pack swallowed down the escapees.

It finally ended in a massive sprint in which the blues took the lead to place Julien Levrard in a good position before the last curve. What was done! Julie was only passed by Kévin Gauclin (ALVA) 150m before the line, was on to come back… But he was a little bit too short.

Nevertheless, with this good result in Lille, he appears at the second rank of the provisional ranking of the FIC marathon series, only few points after Julien Sourisseau (Loops.Sarthe Racing). He will take the start of the Marathon of Beauvais this Tuesday to work on his acceleration and prepare the coming World Inline Cup of Rennes…
